Course outline:
The Artist Development Program at K. G. RECORDS was created in 1998 to fill a huge void in the Music Business. Young artists are in need of honest, qualified, and professional advice, with direction and instruction
in all areas of the music Industry. Young people have nowhere to turn for the in-depth professional training required to stand out from the thousands of people attempting to become established, and successful artists. One of the best things about the ADP program is that it is individualized for each person - no group lessons.
This is not an "arts camp", "rock camp" or "rock school", this program is designed for those serious individuals that are career minded. The program was developed as the result of over twenty five years of exhaustive research, training, and experience. Artist development is endorsed and highly recommended by such artists as Sarah McLachlan.
We have specifically developed this program to concentrate on the following areas of study:

- Artist and talent development
- Professional vocal and instrumental music training, history, and theory
- Song writing, arranging, and music publishing
- Professional audio recording and engineering
- Pre and post music and video production
- Professional style, image, and brand consulting
- Music and entertainment industry law, marketing, and promotion
- Artist representation to major record labels
Participants in the ADP Program Receive very thorough training...
Intense training in professional vocal production techniques, and vocal health.
Instruction in live and studio vocal, microphone, and performance techniques.
Private professional instruction in vocal and instrumental music, as well as all relevant music history, theory, and performance practices.
Training and assistance with live performance techniques, staging, stage presence, charisma, audience rapport, show production, venue preparation, and riders.
Thorough understanding of professional photography and video recording.
In-depth awareness of entertainment industry resources, copyright information, contracts, rights, responsibilities, and agencies such as SOCAN, CMMRA, ASCAP, BMI, and others.
Experience in dealing with managers, agents, bookings, marketing, promotion, advertising, merchandising, and entertainment law.
Experience in working with professional photographers, videographers, hair stylists, makeup, wardrobe, and fashion consultants.
Exposure to professional bios, press kits, interviews, artwork, graphic design, and web based media.
“Hands on” experience working with professional song writers, arrangers, record producers, audio engineers, and studio musicians.
Ample opportunity and experience in live performance on radio, television, public venues, competitions, and the internet.
